Student Council

Errigal College student council are elected annually by proportional representation (PR), as per national elections.

The outgoing student council meet in September to select dates for student council meetings, and coordinate and supervise the student council elections in the first week of October. This is to ensure an open and transparent election and election count.

Student council meetings take place on the above mentioned dates. The Student Council meet regularly with the Student Voice Coordinator (Mr. Evan Gorrell), Principal (Mr. Danny McFadden) and Deputy Principal (Ms. Deirdre Markham), and with the Board of Management annually.

In these meetings, the students discuss issues in the school and bring their views to management who work closely with the student council.

The student council is an excellent way for students to voice their views on different aspects of school life.
